Problem statement
We are aware of an issue that seems to have begun on August 26, 2024, where in some SharePoint Online tenants, the dialog UI is displayed incorrectly, similar to the below. The dialog content runs over the edge of the dialog window, and the text may appear in a different font.

Investigation
Aug 26 11:00a ET: This is occurring in several versions of our products that we're aware of, but the issue appears to be specific to something in certain tenants, as it's working in some tenants but not in others (with the same version of our products). We are working as quickly as possible to determine what the difference is, and how to address it.
Aug 26 2:30p ET: This appears to be related to the issue reported by others today to Microsoft in GitHub: Custom Dialog Boxes have Transparent Backgrounds · Issue #9888 · SharePoint/sp-dev-docs (github.com). We are following this closely, and continuing to investigate it ourselves. The issue seems to now be occurring in additional tenants beyond where was occurring to begin with.
Aug 26 5:00p ET: Our developers have been able to implement a temporary fix to this sp-dialog issue. We have pushed out a CDN update to DeliverPoint, which you will receive automatically if you currently have at least version 4.4.0.0 installed in your App Catalog. We have noticed that the issue might still be occurring in Targeted Release tenants, and the font issue might still be present on some pages.
Potential workarounds
For DeliverPoint, a workaround if you are unable to update to the latest version, could be to use DeliverPoint as a web part on a SharePoint page instead of in a dialog window. That is, you can edit any SharePoint modern page, and add the DeliverPoint web part to the page. The functionality is exactly the same.
In the case of Lightning Forms, the customization dialog must be opened from a list's command bar. However, the dialog buttons are still functional, it's just that the dialog window behind them is somewhat transparent.
Resolution
As of end of the day on August 26, we have pushed out an update to the current version of DeliverPoint, which fixes this temporarily until Microsoft addresses the issue with their own fix. We encourage you to follow the GitHub issue for updates from Microsoft. We will also continue to update this article.
As of August 27, it appears that Microsoft fixed this issue, and reverted the sp-dialog file back to the way it was, so dialogs are again loading as expected.
Afterward at some point, Microsoft again pushed out this update, so you will need to have the current version of DeliverPoint in order to not see this issue.
