This feature is available as of DeliverPoint version 4.5.0.0 (September 2004).
Initiate the operation
Initiate this operation from the DeliverPoint menu Actions → Group Management → View/Modify Users Groups. In order to initiate the operation, you first need to select one or more site collections from the tree view, or one or more users from the tree view's account centric view. In the resulting page, you can modify the list of selected site collections and the list of selected users.
If the operation was started for selected users, then initially the list of site collections will contain only the current site collection. If the operation was started for selected site collections, then initially the list of users will contain only the current user.
Retrieve Groups
After adjusting the list of selected site collections/users, you need to retrieve the users' groups by clicking Retrieve Users Groups. After the retrieving process is finished, the “Users Groups” grid view will display information about all memberships of the selected users to SharePoint/Entra Groups related to the selected site collections. “Related” means being from that site collection (for SharePoint group) or being used in that site collection (for Entra group). The “Users Groups” grid view will consist of 3 columns: User, Group, and Sites. Each row contains information about one user to be a member of the SharePoint/Entra group that's related to the appropriate site collection (for a SharePoint group it will be just one site collection). DeliverPoint will inform you about any issues (for example, inaccessible resources) that occur during retrieving groups.
Modify Group membership
After viewing groups' memberships, the user can select multiple rows from the “Users Groups” grid view, and remove membership for selected rows by clicking Remove Groups Users. If a replacement user was specified (in the “Users” section) for the appropriate user, then instead of removing that user from the SharePoint/Entra Group, DeliverPoint will replace the membership of that user with the specified Replacement User.
The "Removing/Replacing users from groups” operation will generate logs (actions), it can optionally stop on the first error that occurs (if “Stop After Error” is enabled), it will allow you to cancel a running operation, it will allow you to enable rollback before running the operation, and you can view/manage previously run operations from the Jobs page.
