The Unlabeled Files Report identifies files within a specified scope that lack Sensitivity labels. This tool enables administrators to monitor and manage unlabeled files across site collections, sites, lists, or document libraries, ensuring adherence to security and governance policies.
Options
The report includes a configurable option for handling unlabeled PDF files.
Default Setting: Excludes unlabeled PDF files, as PDF labeling is often disabled in many tenants. Enable the Include Unlabeled PDF Files option if your tenant supports PDF labeling and you want these files included.
Steps to Generate the Report
Follow these steps to create a Unlabeled Files Report:
Navigate to the Reports menu in DeliverPoint, or use the DeliverPoint . The scope of the report will be determined as with other DeliverPoint reports. That is, if you run the report from the Quick Menu, the scope will be the current site. If you have opened DeliverPoint from a library, folder, or file, then that is the report scope. You can also manually set the scope from the DeliverPoint Tree View, prior to opening the Reports menu.
Select Unlabeled Files Report.
(Optional) Check the Include Unlabeled PDF Files box if applicable to your tenant.
Click Generate Report.
Report Content
The generated report includes the following details:
File: The name of the unlabeled file.
List/Library: The list or document library where the file is stored.
Site: The site collection containing the file.
Notes
Search-Based: The report uses SharePoint search for optimal performance.
Latency: Recent changes to file labels may not appear immediately due to search synchronization delays.
