This article is for existing Lightning Forms or Lightning Tools Actions customers who are upgrading to Lightning Tools Forms Studio. Currently, the only way to migrate a list from the Modern Forms add-in to Solution Studio is to do so manually. Our developers are working on a way to make this “solutionizing” process smoother.
Migrate customized Lightning Forms
- Export all customized forms of the lists you wish to bring into your solution. While you have each form open...
- Uncustomize all of these forms, using the Uncustomize Form button in the upper right corner of each form. This is necessary because the customization files from Forms Studio will be saved in a different hidden library, and it would not be possible to determine which script is loaded first or which form will be displayed.
- In LT Forms Studio, create a solution using the same site
- In LT Forms Studio, add your list as an Other List, and for each customized form, click the Customize by Modern Forms button. This process may take 5–10 minutes per form. After the form canvas appears…
- Import the exported configurations
Migrate existing Lightning Tools Actions
- Export Action configurations
- Delete the action/s from the configuration panel. This is necessary because existing actions will not automatically be brought into LT Forms Studio, so both sets of Actions will be displayed to users, causing confusion.
- Create new List Actions in Solution Studio and import the configurations
Note: You will need to manually configure any Action Visibility/Execution Context, or Visible Expression settings.
