Formatting posts

In this section, we explore how to format posts in Social Squared using the Rich Text Editor controls.

When replying to posts, you can edit the text using the Rich Text Editor.

You can use any of the font editors to adjust to your desired font settings.


The Source is used to toggle between visual and HTML editors. You can also insert code blocks from different programming languages and format the code to make it more understandable within a post-


You can format your text, including adding bullet point lists and links.


You can insert tables.


There are also media insertion options, including emojis, media URLs from sites like YouTube, and inserting images from your device. The block quote option is useful when adding comments.


To embed videos from a source like Microsoft Stream, you can use the iframe option.


You copy the embed code from the Stream page, extract the URL from the embed code and paste it into the src field.

For example, if the embed code is as below:

You paste https://test.sharepoint.com/sites/test-SiteCollection/_layouts/15/embed.aspx?UniqueId=5hst672r-2a0e-4b29-9c41-916fd94ad123&embed=%7B%22uto%22%3Atrue%2C%22bc%22%3A%22CopyEmbedCode%22%7D&referrer=StreamWebApp&referrerScenario=EmbedDialog.Create into the src field to use the iframe.
