Download and extract the package
If you're an existing customer, you can download the latest version of the Data Viewer SPFx web part from our Customer Download Center. If you wish to install the free 30-day trial of the Data Viewer, you can download it from here.
Unzip the Data Viewer zip download, and navigate to the SharePoint Server folder, then to either the SharePoint 2016 or SharePoint 2019 or SE subfolder, depending on your SharePoint version. Within this folder, you'll see the ltdvxfx.sppkg file and an executable file called LTDeploy.
Upload to your App Catalog
Navigate to your SharePoint App Catalog (usually https://[YOURDOMAIN]/Sites/appcatalog, but the URL may vary).
Upload or drag the ltdvxfx.sppkg file into the app catalog.
You should see a message that the Data Viewer has deployed successfully.
Install the JavaScript files using LTDeploy
Run the LTDeploy.exe application on one of your SharePoint servers. This application will copy the necessary resource files to a folder named DV in the Site Assets library of the selected web application in your SharePoint environment.
In the LTDeploy UI, select the Web Application/s that you wish to deploy to, and click Deploy.
Note: If you wish to deploy to Host Named Site Collections, please click the button to Add Host Named Site Collection in order to select it for deployment. If you are not using HNSCs, you can simply select the relevant Web App/s.
Upgrading the Data Viewer on SharePoint Server
You can follow the same instructions to update the Data Viewer when a new version is available. Note that you will always also need to run the LTDeploy.exe application again, to update any of the JavaScript files that have been changed or added.
